I’m currently focusing on people in industries and roles that I don’t know much about, but that I’m interested in contributing to in some way (investing, founding a business, etc.).

I strive to live a meaningful life and to continually align myself more closely with certain core values: compassion, kindness, creativity, freedom, community, mindfulness, and temperance.

I like to write and photograph and make music.

I also enjoy learning about and helping to grow and invest in businesses. I make select angel investments, focusing on SaaS and emerging tech.

I have more than 10 years of professional experience, mostly with technology businesses in various growth and product related roles.

Most recently, I was the first non-engineering hire at Qualified, which operates two platforms: a coding assessment SaaS platform and a coding challenge and learning community. I acted in a cross-functional role, leading: sales, customer success, strategic partnerships, product, and growth.

Qualified was acquired by Andela in early 2023.

Highlights:

  • Co-led company revenue and product strategy with CEO and CTO
  • Sold over $5MM in new bookings, upsells, and renewals
  • Grew total userbase to 4 million and monthly active users to 500k
  • Created customer success program and managed key account base of $1MM in recurring revenue
  • Recruited and managed key contributors in sales and support

In the past, I’ve worked in financial services, sales, and customer success, as well as started and ran a pasta subscription box company and a wedding and portrait photography business.
